Fashionista much?

Fashion is Carla Knapp's calling. A design degree from Parsons and design stints at Jil Stuart and Paper Denim & Cloth (of which she was creative director) followed, before Knapp debuted her own label last season at Gen Art's Fresh Faces of Fashion. Mischen, which fittingly means 'to mix' in German, juxtaposes vintage pattern-work with avant-garde, architectural silhouettes; embroidery and colors culled from 18th century Native Americans with brushstroke prints from the glam 1930s' a la Gres, Chanel, and Adrian.
